Obituary

It is with regret we announce the passing of James “Jim” Ronald Stanly, age 81, of Fayetteville, TN. Jim was born on July 25, 1942, in Simpson, LA to the late James Calvin Stanly and Sadie Jane Jackson Stanly. He served in the US Army and worked for Goodman. Jim passed away on September 2, 2023, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Stanly; daughter, Rhonda Stanly Roberts and her children, Jessica (Gary) Payne, Victoria Campbell, and Rylee Campbell; daughter, Tracy (Andy) Davis and their children, Drew (Amber) Davis, and Trevor (Alexas) Davis; son, Ron (Jennifer) Stanly and their children, Luke (Sara) Stanly, and Sarah (Andrew) Barton all of Fayetteville, TN; 8 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Anna Smith of Simpson, LA.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, September 4, 2023, at Higgins Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens with Bro. Randy Nichols officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.

Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of James Ronald Stanly.

    So sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. Jim hired me at Intergraph when I was at a very low point in my life. I will never forget that. Jim wanted people to think that he was a bulldog , but fact was he had a heart of gold! God rest his soul.
