Funeral services for Mr. James Ray Golden, age 69, of Fayetteville will be conducted at 1 PM Wednesday at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Kirk Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in Gum Springs Cemetery.  Mr. Golden passed away Sunday afternoon at his residence.

  A native of Lincoln County, he was a son of the late Tom and Jessie Clark Golden, manager of the Elk’s Lodge for 39 years, a member of Tennessee Harness Racing Association, and a lifetime supporter of Lincoln County Fair and Harness Racing.

  Survivors include his wife Wilma P. Price Golden of Fayetteville, son Ricky Howell and wife Christi of Fayetteville, grandchildren Andrew and Taylor Howell of Fayetteville, sisters Sarah Golden of Kelso and  Nina Ruth Warren of Flintville, brother Kenneth Golden of Kelso, and several nieces and nephews.

  Visitation with the family will be from 5-8 PM Tuesday at Higgins Funeral Home.
