Funeral services for James Michael Simms, age 65 of Fayetteville will be conducted Wednesday at 2PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Don Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Lincoln Cemetery. Mr. Simms passed away Sunday night at Donalson Care Center.

He was a native of Pinal County, AZ but a lifetime resident of Tennessee. Mr. Simms was the son of the late James Virgil Simms and Mary Helen Hollis Simms who survives. He was a retired firefighter for the City of Fayetteville and was a member of the Park City Baptist Church.

Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife Jerena Storey Simms of Fayetteville, daughter Michelle Lee Simms of Flintville, sister Marie McGehee and husband Charles of Flintville, brother Tommy Fletcher Simms and wife Carole of Fayetteville, two nieces and one nephew.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 12PM  until 2PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
