Obituary

Graveside service for James Lynn Bostick, age 82, of Petersburg will be conducted at 1 PM on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Bostick Cemetery in Elora with Bill Reavis officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 10 AM until 12 PM Wednesday at Higgins Funeral Home.

Jim was born on January 13, 1939 in Elora, TN to the late James Thurman and Nancy Carlee Jordan Bostick. Jim enjoyed the outdoors, working in his yard, gardening, and fishing. He was a member of the Oakley Baptist Church. Jim passed away on February 12, 2021 at Maury Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family.

Jim is survived by his children, Sherry (Jimmy) Edwards, Shay (Bob) Yunque, and Shannon (Dianne) Bostick; grandchildren, Kristopher (Sarah) Carr, Jammi (Zack) Walker, and James Edwards; great-grandchildren, Troy Shull, Trevor Shull, Dakotah Shull, Kyera Carr, Payton Michael, and Matt Jones; his two special dogs, Sandy and Ginger; and a host of nieces and nephews who loved him very much. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Ilene Bostick, four sisters and four brothers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105-9959 or Fayetteville Lincoln County Animal Shelter, 1718 Pulaski Highway, Fayetteville, TN 37334
