Funeral services for Mr. Jackie Wayne Armstrong, age 64, of Kelso will be conducted at 2 PM Thursday at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Kirk Smith officiating.  Burial will follow at Kelso Cemetery.  Mr. Armstrong passed away Sunday evening at Lincoln Medical Center.

A son of the late J.B. and Edna Armstrong, he was a native of Lincoln County, retired as a Chief Master Sergeant from the Air Force after 38 years of service, was a civil servant in the Air National Guard, a crew chief for the Air Force Thunderbirds for 3 years, a member of the local VFW Post 2167, and a member of Kelso Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife Ginger Armstrong of Kelso, sons Tim Armstrong and wife Rae Ann of Kansas City and Michael Armstrong and wife Simin of Brookhaven, Mississippi, grandchildren Patrick Bennett Armstrong, Stephanie Nicole Armstrong, and Sabrina Armstrong, brothers Dolan Armstrong of Belleville and Joe Armstrong of Boonshill, sister Wanda Armstrong of Belleville, and aunt Maude Packs of Fayetteville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kelso Cumberland Presbyterian Church or the American Cancer Society.

Visitation with the family will be from 12-2 PM Thursday at Higgins Funeral Home.
