Ingrid was born on February 14, 1941, in Germany. In 1958, she married an American soldier and moved to the USA in 1959 with her newborn son, leaving her family behind. Her sense of humor was infectious and made the hard days more bearable. Ingrid passed away on August 24, 2022, with her family by her side.
Survivors include her sons, Donnie (Rhonda) Currin, Rick (Theresa) Currin, and Steve “Fred” (Penny) Currin; grandchildren, Thomas (Hanna) Currin, Alisha (Chris) Dunnavant, Travis (Kelsey) Currin, Kayla Currin (Tareq Hindiyeh), Stefanie (Joey) Worden, Elizabeth Currin, Ritchie Conner, and Justice Conner; 13 great-grandchildren; and a beloved dog, Daisy. Ingrid was preceded in death by her parents, Georg and Helga Kohl; and longtime partner, Tom Harris.
Visitation with the family will be from 12 PM until 2 PM on Sunday at Higgins Funeral Home.
