Funeral services for Inez H. Daniel, age 103, of Fayetteville, TN will be held at 11am on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Donnie Browning officiating. Burial will follow in Flintville Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5pm until 8pm on Tuesday, June 18 at Higgins.
Inez was born in Albertville, AL in 1920 to Bud and Lula Halcomb. The family with six siblings moved to Flintville, TN in 1926 and added three more children in the following years. Inez is preceded in death by her parents, Moses Edward “Bud” Halcomb and Lula Vada Halcomb; five brothers, Troy, Leamon, Johnnie, Clyde and Cecil; and three sisters, Sarah Patrick, Frankie Kilgore, and Nelle Pendergrass. Also preceding her were husband, Roy S. Daniel; a son, Robert “Buddy” Daniel; and two infant grandchildren, Alesia and Kelly Kimbrough.
Her years were filled with challenges as is common with the times, providing, caring, and teaching life’s lessons to four generations of her own. Gardening and sewing were her passions, born from the necessities of life. In her early years Inez was employed by Brown Shoe Company in Caruthersville, MO. Upon moving back to Lincoln County, she was a seamstress at Serbin until she retired. Inez loved God and sought to serve him through her church family at First Baptist Church in Fayetteville, as well as in her daily life. Her trust and devotion have been a light to all who knew her.
Survivors include her daughters, Nancy H. Kimbrough and Peggy D. Parkerson; grandchildren, Millicent K. Smith, Joey (Leigh) Kimbrough, Lawanna (John) Hale, Cindy (Mike) Miles, Daryl (Vickie) Daniel, and Jason Daniel; great-grandchildren, April (Jason Hill) Smith, Mandy (Dallas) Hawkins, Crystal (Heath) Warden, Heather (Jason) McCormick, Andrea (Deston) Chiaudano, Rachel Reed, Ashley (Brandon) Kirby, Chelsey Daniel, Alexis Daniel, Taylor Daniel, and Tyler Daniel; great-great-grandchildren, Allison (Austin) Stewart, Jeb Huffman, Cailyn McCormick, Reed McCormick, Chase Chiaudano, Mac Reed, Emily Kirby, Ja’Lea Daniel, Hallie Daniel, Jax Daniel, Alanna Daniel, Kayden Daniel, Makenna Daniel, A’mya Daniel, Alanna Daniel, Mila Kate Daniel, Aria Daniel, Annlee Chiaudano, and Aaliyah Daniel; many nieces, nephews, and their families, as well as countless friends from many places and times.
