Graveside funeral service for Imogene Stewart Highfill, age 90, of Fayetteville, TN, will be held at 3:30 PM Sunday, October 27, 2024, at Lincoln Cemetery with Bro. Scott Travis officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.
Imogene was born on February 25, 1934, in Lincoln County, TN to the late Ernest Stewart and Sudie Cobb Stewart. She worked as a seamstress for Serbin. Imogene loved living in the country and caring for her dogs, cats, fish and even a wolf. She passed away on October 25, 2024, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
Survivors include her children, Ronnie Jack (Melissa) Highfill, Sr. of Fayetteville, Danny Joe (Debra Hubbard) Highfill, Sr. of Alabama, and Billy Wayne Highfill of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Ronnie Jack (Paula Lunn) Highfill, Jr., Lucas Edward Highfill, Lincoln Shelby Highfill, Danny Joe Highfill, Jr., and Billy Wayne Highfill, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Dallys (Nick Reed) Highfill, Autumn Rose Highfill, Hudson Lee Highfill, Summer Grace Highfill, Abby Highfill, Gracie Highfill, Emily Highfill, Devon Highfill, Bristol Highfill, and Even Highfill; great-great-grandson Caiden Thomas Reed; and a sister-in-law, Sharon Stewart. In addition to her parents, Imogene was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Davis Highfill; grandson, Justin Lee Highfill; brothers, Harold (Mable) Stewart, and Ray Stewart.

All I can say about Imogene, is I loved this lady so much and she was a hoot. Always pleasant to see her smiling face. Sorry for your loss!
Grandma Highfill will always hold a special place in my heart. She opened me into her home 13 years ago. One specific memory that comes to mind was her and grandpa letting me and Ashley cook them Thanksgiving dinner for them. RIP you will deeply be missed
