Memorial services for Mrs. Ida Margaret Jennings Norman, age 79 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Thursday at 2 PM at the Fayetteville Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Tim Smith officiating. Mrs. Norman passed away Monday at Lincoln Medical Center.

A native of Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Rufus Jefferson (Jake) Jennings and Gladys Forrester Jennings. She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Norman. Mrs. Norman was a retired Secretary for the District Attorney and a member of the Fayetteville Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the Fayetteville Art League.

She is survived by sister Wanda Preston of Fayetteville, her son and daughter-in-law Lynn and Kathryn Norman of Madison, and daughter Carol Norman of Chattanooga, four grandchildren, Logan Spencer of Chattanooga, Jessica Norman of Murfreesboro, Jennifer Norman of Madison, AL, David Christian of Huntsville, and two great-grandchildren Kendal Christian and Harper Spencer, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening 5-8 PM at Higgins Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.

Higgins Funeral Home is assisting the family of Ida Margaret Norman.
