Graveside services for Ida Page Maddox, age 83 of Oak Ridge, formerly of Fayetteville will be conducted Thursday April 18th at 3 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Maddox passed away Sunday at her home.
She was a native of Lincoln County and the daughter of the late John Calvin and Lida Lee Bruton Goodrich. Mrs. Maddox retired from the city of Fayetteville, where she was the city court clerk for twenty years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, after leaving Fayetteville and moving to Oak Ridge to be with her family she became a member of the Kern Memorial United Methodist Church. She enjoyed the company of her canine companions, reading and was an avid follower and supporter of national politics.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband B.P. Maddox who passed away in in 1973, and by a sister Elizabeth Farrar, and a brother, John C. “Jack” Goodrich Jr.
She is survived by a son John Maddox and wife Linda of Oak Ridge, grandchildren, Leslie Helms and husband Johnathan of Greenville, SC and Ellen Petree and husband Phil of Knoxville, great-grandchildren Henry and Bonnie Helms, Caroline and Molly Petree, nephews, Bob Farrar of Bowie MD, and John H. Goodrich of Lynchburg, TN and special caregivers, Lynda Lewis, Cathy Cope and Millie Campbell.
Visitation with the family will be Thursday from 1:30-2:30pm at Higgins Funeral Home.

Johnny and family we are saddened to learn of the death f your mother. I remember her in High Schol and when she lived on Third Avenue
She was a very dear lady and my heart goes out to you and your family members. May God bless you as you go through this difficut time
