Funeral service for Mr. Harold Edward McAlister, age 82, of Gallatin, TN will be conducted at 10 AM on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Don Russell officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Mr. McAlister was born on December 3, 1935 in Fayetteville, TN to the late Carl Robert and Annie Gertrude Monks McAlister. He owned and operated McAlister Booth Shop in Hendersonville, TN. Mr. McAlister enjoyed gardening, camping, and spending time with his family. Harold passed away on July 7, 2018 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Doris Elaine Hicklen McAlister; children, Barry (Laura) McAlister of Nashville, Kim (Darryl) Manlove of White House, and Tim (Amanda) McAlister of Gallatin; grandchildren, Amanda (Dan) Howard, Heather McAlisters, Tristan McAlister, Devin (Taylor) Manlove, Timothy McAlister, Alex (Shawna) McAlister and Christian McAlister; great-grandchildren, Vella, Asher and Oliver Howard, Emma Manlove, and Charles, Brayden and Lorali McAlister; and siblings, Bobby (Dot) McAlister, Maurine Crabtree, and Faye Smith. In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by a brother, Clay McAlister and a great-grandson, River King.
Visitation with the family will be from 5 PM until 8 PM on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Higgins Funeral Home, 213 East Market Street, Fayetteville, TN 37334. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Harold Edward McAlister.
