Obituary

Funeral services for Gracey Gibbs Lindsey, age 72, of Fayetteville, TN will be held at 2pm on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Conley officiating. Burial will follow in Carter Hills Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 12pm until 2pm on Sunday at Higgins.

Gracey was born May 30, 1952, in Huntsville, AL to the late Gabby Gibbs and the late Willie Bell Gault. She had an outgoing personality, an independent spirit, and cared deeply for others. Gracey loved her family and her dogs and will be missed by them all. She passed away January 22, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.

Survivors include her daughters, Keri Lindsey, Tia Honea, and Minnie Lindsey; son Wesley Lindsey; grandchildren, Jonathan Ridgeway, Breanne (Alex) Colbert, Mason Harlow, Chelsey Lindsey, and Tyler Claunch; great-grandchildren, Axel Colbert, Emma Ridgeway, Drake Colbert, and Waylon Ridgeway. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lindsey was preceded in death by her stepmother, Inez Gibbs; husband, William Wesley Lindsey; grandson, Justin Honea; and siblings, Nancy Perry, Joan Richardson, Guy Gibbs, Charles Adams, and Richard Adams.
