Graveside service for Mr. George William Buchanan, age 61, of Flintville, will be conducted at 12 PM on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Flintville Cemetery with Bro. Tommy Graham officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.
Mr. Buchanan was born on February 22, 1957 in Madison County, AL to Betty Jo Bridges Buchanan and the late Hubert AJ Buchanan. He worked as a chicken farmer and enjoyed spending time with his family. Mr. Buchanan passed away March 6, 2018 at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, TN.
Survivors include his daughter, Tracy (Andy) Boyett of Fayetteville; sons, Dwayne Buchanan of Elkmont, AL and Anthony (Tiffany) Buchanan of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Randy Buchanan, Dustin Buchanan, Trent Boyett, Tyler Boyett, and Trenton Buchanan; brothers, Larry Buchanan and Tommy Buchanan both of New Market, AL; and a sister Lisa Buchanan Byars of Hazel Green, AL. In addition to his father, Mr. Buchanan was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Lynn Hobbs Buchanan.
