Obituary

Graveside services for Gentry Joe Allen Williams, Jr., age 89 of Taft, will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at Prosperity Cemetery with Higgins Funeral Home in charge. Burial will be beside his first wife Nadine Smith Williams. Mr. Williams passed away Wednesday at Donalson Skill Care.

A native of Madison County, AL, Mr. Williams was the son of the late Gentry Joe Allen and Lizzie C. Williams Sr, was a retired construction worker and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife Roberta Wright Williams of Taft, two sons Rickie and Steve Williams both of Taft and two daughters, Gayle Fitch of Taft and Melissa Rucker of Decatur, AL, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several step-grandchildren. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his brothers Milton, Harold Thomas, and Floyd Williams, sisters Irene Morris, Cora Moore and Lucille Smith.

Visitation with the family will be Friday evening 5-8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
