Funeral services for Mrs. Gene Finney, age 87, of Mt. Juliet will be conducted at 1 PM Monday at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens beside her husband John Madison Finney. Mrs. Finney passed away Saturday afternoon at Baptist Hospital.

A daughter of the late Curtis and Esther Massey Sawyer, she was a native of Moore County, formerly employed with Sears and South Central Human Resource Agency, and she was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include her son John Curtis Finney and wife Sandra of Brentwood, daughters Linda Diane Marrs and husband Kelso of Birmingham and Jo Carol Finney of Mt. Juliet, grandchildren Corey Maxwell Finney of Brentwood, Shannon Nelson and husband Nathan of Cane Ridge, and John Mathew Finney and wife Erin of Brentwood, and great-grandchildren Cody, Ty, Lauryn, and Jesse Nelson.

Visitation with the family will be from 5-8 PM Sunday evening at Higgins Funeral Home.
