Funeral services for Mr. Gail McGehee, age 72, of Mulberry will be conducted1 PM Wednesday at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Bates and Rev. Jeremy Hudgins officiating. Burial will follow in Mulberry Cemetery. Mr. McGehee passed away Monday July 27 at his residence.

He was a native of Lincoln County and the son of the late Alexander Crawford and Elizabeth Logan McGehee Jr. Mr. McGehee was a farmer, retired postmaster at the Mulberry Post Office, where he had been employed for 39 years, and a member of the Mulberry Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Aletha Allison McGehee of Mulberry, daughter Cindy McGehee Blackwelder and husband David of Mulberry, brother Crawford D. McGehee of Ocalla Fl, and sister Amy Garretson of Ashboro, NC. Mr. McGehee was preceded in death by a brother Malcolm McGehee.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday 5-8 PM at Higgins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Mulberry Baptist Church or Mulberry Cemetery.
