Funeral services for Mr. Fred Wilson Grammer, age 89 of Fayetteville will be conducted at 2PM Sunday at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Van Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Lynchburg Cemetery. Mr. Grammer passed away at his home at 200 Wellsbrook Circle Fayetteville after his long battle with cancer surrounded by his loving devoted family.
He was the son of the late Lacy and Ruby Gattis Grammer who preceeded him in death. Also proceeding him in death was a brother Edward Grammer and son-in-law Harold Cary. Mr. Grammer was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during WW II. He was retired from Kraft Foods after 31 years and was a member of Old Arbor Primitive Baptist Church in Lynchburg.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 59 years, Lucille Evans Grammer, two daughters Sue Cary of Fayetteville and Judy Pierce and husband Richie of Lynchburg, grandson Jason Evans Groce and wife Lana of Fayetteville, two great grandchildren Logan Evans Groce and Allie Elizabeth Groce, brother-in-law Billy Joe Evans and wife Gayle of Fayetteville, niece, nephew, great niece and two great nephews. Mr. Grammer also leaves behind many devoted, loving friends.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday 4-8PM at Higgins Funeral home.
