Funeral services for Mr. Fred (Hunkey) Womack, age 79, of 36 Wells Hill Road, Fayetteville will be conducted at 2PM Monday at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Pete Crimm officiating. Burial will follow in Stewarts Cemetery. Mr. Womack died at his residence on Thursday. He was a native of Lincoln County and the son of the late Fred Bartley and Ruby Davis Womack Sr. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, an artist and cartoonist. Survivors include his wife Genevieve Womack, two daughters Rebecca Licheau of San Francisco, CA, and Beth Womack of Lacrosse, WI, two sons Fred Bartley Womack, III of Santa Rosa, CA and David Womack of Lacrosse, WI, five sisters Doris Rogers of Peatone, IL, Peggy Leonard of Fayetteville, Katherine Luttrell of Fayetteville, Diane Eck of Peatone, IL and Samantha Fly of Lynchburg, TN, two brothers Pat Womack of Huntland and Rex Womack of Belvidere, two grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter Audry Womack. Visitation with the family will be Sunday evening 5-8PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
