Funeral services for Mrs. Frances O’Neal, age 87 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Higgins Funeral Home with Jeff May officiating. Burial will follow in Higgins Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens beside her husband John Robert O’Neal, Sr. Mrs. O’Neal passed away Saturday evening in Donalson Care Center.
Mrs. O’Neal was a native of Giles County, the daughter of the late Clyde J. and Josephine Pinkston Liggett, Sr. She and her husband owned and operated J & R Shop Easy grocery store, was a very successful Avon representative for many years and was a member of the South Fayetteville Church of Christ. Mrs. O’Neal greatly loved her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters Peggy Terry and husband Joe, Jan Lane and husband Danny all of Fayetteville, son John Robert O’Neal, Jr. and wife Andrea of Dallas, GA, sister-in-law Patsy Liggett of Lewisburg, 7 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson Brian Daniel Lane, brothers Bobby Liggett and Jack Liggett.
Visitation with the family will be Monday evening from 5 until 8 pm at Higgins Funeral Home.

Sorry to hear about your lost. It’s been a long while since I have heard news from Tennessee. It’s always hard to loose someone. I do have a lot of great memories of Frances when I was younger visiting.
