Funeral service for Floyd Edward Hill, age 78, of Fayetteville, TN will be held at 7 PM on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Higgins Funeral Home with Ricky Crabtree officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 4 PM until 7 PM on Tuesday at Higgins.
Floyd, known as Flossie, was born on January 17, 1943, in Lincoln County, TN to the late Roy Lee and Mary Evelyn McWhirter Hill. Mr. Hill was an entrepreneur, owning and operating a commercial painting business, and Floyd’s Place in Fayetteville. He passed away on January 7, 2022, at Vanderbilt Tullahoma-Harton Hospital.
Survivors include his children, Billy (Kim) Hill of Chapel Hill, TN, Dwayne Hill of Lewisburg, TN, Kenneth Hill of Winchester, TN, Christy (Troy) Anglin of Burnsville, NC, Carolyn (Matthew) Pratt of Fayetteville, Connie (Cliff) Gulley of Winchester, and Chad Hill of Fayetteville; sisters, Pamela Jo (Melvin) McCoy, and Deborah Kay (Ronnie) Gulley; brothers, Robert Earl (Linda) Hill, Jerry Ray (Anita) Hill, Dennis Anthony (Cheryl) Hill and David Lee (Dawn) Hill; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly. Floyd was known as Flossie and Peepaw to 9 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Floyd was preceded in death by his sisters, Myrtle Lee Smith, Exie Juanita Pamplin, and Mary Faye Hill; and brothers, Roy Dean Hill, William Monroe Hill, Madison Shelton Hill, and Jackie Lynn Hill.

So very sorry to hear about Mr.Floyd’s passing.He was a great friend to me and my dad,Larry Bevels.My dad passed away in October of 2020.He & Mr.Floyd are together, looking down on us & watching over us & taking care of us.Just remember that has long has you have him in your hearts,that he isn’t really died.He is still here with us.I loved Mr.Floyd a lot.He will be missed by all who knew him.We are praying for the whole family. 💙
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Flossie. My prayers go out to all of Flossie’s kids, grandchildren, siblings,, and friends. And Sheree. Flossie was the love of her life for a long time.
