Funeral services for Mrs. Faye Phelps Cheatham McGee, age 87, of Petersburg will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Sorrells officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. McGee passed away Monday morning at her residence.

She was a native of Giles County, TN and the daughter of the late Benton and Orlean Austin Phelps. Mrs. McGee was a homemaker and a member of the Petersburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her husband Daniel Tillman McGee of Petersburg, five children, Steve Cheatham and wife Mike of Petersburg, Dennis Cheatham of Nashville, Dana Brown and husband Mike, Mark McGee and wife Sheree and Mary Jane Porter and husband Bobby all of Petersburg, grandchildren Bart Cheatham, Rhett Cheatham, Alan Brown, Karson Brown, Ben Brown, Karen Brown, Daniel McGee, Dusten Staley, Mabern Wall, Kenneth Barnes, Katie Barnes and Warren Porter, great-grandchildren, Tripp Brown, Aden Brown, Parker Danielle Staley, J.T. and Tyler Porter, sister Jerry Springer of Columbia, TN, and brother Jack Phelps of Huntsville. Mrs. McGee was preceded in death by her first husband Dyke Cheatham, three sisters Kathleen Ball, Florence Coffman, Sue Warren and one brother O. E. Phelps.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Petersburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening 4-8PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
