Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Crabtree Shaddy, age 86, of Petersburg will be conducted at 1PM Thursday at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Ralph Hart officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens beside her husband Thomas Shaddy who died in 1992. Mrs. Shaddy passed away Monday evening in the United Regional Nursing Home in Manchester.
She was a native of Lincoln County and the daughter of the late Jessie and Lyla Hardin Crabtree. She was a former seamstress, homemaker and a member of the Howell Church of Christ.
Survivors include two daughters Dixie Hart of Manchester and Nancy Luna of Cathleen, GA, two sons, Jimmy Shaddy of Petersburg and Doug Shaddy of Belfast, one sister Opal Mills of Fayetteville, two brothers Ford Crabtree of Lewisburg and Roy Crabtree of Wheatland, CA, 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a brother McCrady Crabtree.
Visitation with the family will be Wednesday 5-8pm at Higgins Funeral Home.
