Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn “Granny Beck” Cowley Pitts, age 87 of Fayetteville will be conducted at 2PM Thursday at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Langford officiating.  Burial will be in Riverview Memorial Gardens beside her husband William “Bill” Pitts who passed away in 1992.  Mrs. Pitts passed away Tuesday December 29th in Huntsville Hospital.

She was a native of Lincoln County and the daughter of the late Samuel Prater and Jonie Katherine Gattis Cowley.  Mrs. Pitts was a retired seamstress and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include her son Berry Pitts and wife Sharon of Fayetteville, grandson Mike Pitts and wife Dara of Fayetteville, two sisters Joyce Caldwell and husband John P Caldwell of Fayetteville, Melba Williams and husband Ben Hugh Williams of Fayetteville and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday from noon until 2PM at Higgins Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Vanntown Volunteer Fire Department, P. O. Box 8626, Flintville, TN. 37335.
