Funeral service for Mrs. Ethel Mae Smith Cowan age 72, of Fayetteville will be conducted Monday at 1 PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Harold Boggs officiating. Burial will follow in Carter Hills Cemetery beside her late husband Marvin Cowan. Mrs Cowan passed away Saturday morning at Lincoln Medical Center.

Mrs. Cowan was a native of Lincoln County, the daughter of the late Garland and Beatrice Smith, the owner of Marvins Restaurant for many years , and a member of the Hope Assemble of God.

Survivors include her daughter June Owen of Frankewing, son Dale Cowan of Taft, grandchildren Todd Owen of Flintville,Brad Cowan of Portland, TN, Chase, Katie, Lindsey, Summer, Chelsea, and Marvin Dale Cowan all of Fayetteville, and Todd Owen of Flintville, great-grandchildren Avery Owen, Seth, Cole, Aiden, and Kyler Cowan, Shawn Jaxton, Braden and Kevin Cowan, and brothers Hubert and Bud Smith of Fayetteville, and L.C. Smith of Tullahoma.

Visitation with the family will be Sunday evening from 5-8 PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
