My deepest sympathy to all of the Lacy family. When Dave & I were kids & we’d hop on our bikes to go somewhere, Mrs. Lacy would always tell us to behave & not get into any trouble. Then she would mumble under her breath something like “those two are gonna do what they want, why do I bother telling them”.
Her words must have made an impression on us. We may have done some stupid things, but nothing that would have upset her. I think we both wanted to make her proud, because she was such a great role model.
