Funeral services for Emma Jean Beverly Jacks, age 91, of Elora, TN will be held at 2pm on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Higgins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Elora Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 12pm until 2pm on Thursday at Higgins.
Jean was born April 21, 1933, in Madison County, AL to the late Pleasant Beverly and Carrie Louise Nelson Beverly Nichols. She was a graduate of Hazel Green High School and of the Baptist faith. Jean worked along side her husband at their grocery store, and she also arranged and sold flowers for many years. Along with her love for flowers, she enjoyed crocheting and often made caps for newborns. Jean was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed. She passed away December 22, 2024, in Elora, TN.
Survivors include her daughter, Tammy Bice; son, Anthony Jacks and wife Tammy; grandchildren, Tory (Mandy) Clark, Brandon (Reichel) Jacks, Brad Jacks; great-grandchildren, Gabby Maus, Jaycie Jacks, Crymsen Jacks, and Wilson Clark; and her sister, Peggie (Jim) Chiarizio. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Lawrence Jacks; sister, Dorris Torres; and brothers, James Beverly and Thelton Beverly.
Memorial donations may be made to the Flintville Volunteer Fire Department, or Elora Cemetery.
