Obituary

Funeral services for Elizabeth “Betsy” Moore, age 86 of Fayetteville will be conducted Monday November 9, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Fayetteville First Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens beside her husband of 57 years Mr. Harold Moore who passed away in 2009. Mrs. Moore passed away Friday November 6, 2015 at her residence.
She was a native of Goldsboro, NC and the daughter of the late Roger and Elizabeth Herring Peele. Mrs. Moore was a homemaker and worked in the family business. She was a member of the Fayetteville First Presbyterian Church where she served as elder, a choir member and co-chair of the Presbyterian Women. She was very active in community service and loved to travel and take trips with her girls.
Survivors include four daughters, Dianne (Joe) Prosser, Linda (Allen) Wilson, Susan (Glen) Graham and Kimberly Leasure who passed away in 2008, grandchildren, Trey (Jenna) Prosser, Kevin Prosser, Shane Stewart, Betsy Stewart, Stephen Wilson, Michelle Wilson, Bobby (Shanna) Graham, Kayla Graham and Crystal Viveros, great-grandchildren Joseph Prosser, Evelyn Prosser, Mattie Graham, Justin Graham, Elizabeth, Carlos, Rosalie Viveros and Richard Tamariz. She leaves behind sisters Edith Wright, Bobbie and Retha Peele, Dolly Ulichnie and numerous precious nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law.
She lived life to the fullest and blessed many people along the way. Mrs. Moore was a 26 year cancer survivor and a member of Bosom Buddies Support Group.
In addition to her parents, husband and daughter she was preceded in death by brothers Marvin and twin brother Bob
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, FPC Youth Fund, or the Alpha Kappa Scholarship Fund.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday November 8, 2015 5-7 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
