Obituary

Funeral services for Dorothy Jean Winsett, age 78 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Doug Brown and Lon Ostrzycki officiating. Burial will follow in Kirkland Cemetery. Mrs.Winsett passed away Sunday at St. Thomas Hospital.

A native of Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Bonnie Maddox Jean and was retired Administrative Assistant with NASA. She was a member of the Lincoln Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children Monica (William) Waldon of Hazel Green, AL, Troy (Sherry) Winsett of Hazel Green, AL, grandchildren Jessica Lee Adcock of Shelbyville, Molly Rhea Cobb of Shelbyville, Hollye Heintzelman (Chase)of Hazel Green, AL, McKenzie Ann Winsett of Hazel Green, AL and Avery Kyle Winsett of Hazel Green, AL, two great-grandchildren Alyssa Rhea Cobb and Wyatt Lee Cobb. Mrs. Winsett was preceded in death by husbands Marlon Ray Winsett and Buford G. Winsett, daughter Melanie Ann Winsett and brother Morton Jean.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday 10-11 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
