Dorothy Hobbs Mitchell passed away September 16^th at Donalson Care Center.  She was born October 19, 1921 in the McBurg community where she lived most of her life.  She was a member of the McBurg Methodist Church and was a retired employee of Jonathan Logan. Mrs. Mitchell is most remembered by her wit, mischievous smile and great sense of humor.  She will be greatly missed by everyone that ever met her.

Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her parents W. J. and Nora Beddingfield Hobbs, husband Wilson (Fat) Mitchell, brothers Jack and Calvin (Tut) Hobbs.  She is survived by a son Lowell (Jeanie) Mitchell of Cullman, Alabama.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Monte Franklin officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery beside her beloved “Fat”.

Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 12PM – 2PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
