Lynn, so very sorry for the loss of your MEME. I know how much she meant to you…..I was held up at work, but know you are in my prayers, sweet friend.

To The Family of Mrs. Lester: I truly enjoyed working with your mother many years ago at the old hospital in Fayetteville. She was such a sweet considerate person. May God comfort you with the peace only He can give.

I don’t have to tell anyone who knew her that my sister, Joyce, was a Godly woman. And I don’t have enough superlatives in my vocabulary to adequately describe her. But what most people probably don’t know is that throughout my ministry, she has been my best encourager – and maybe my biggest fan.

One story: when I was in the 8th grade, my history teacher, Mrs. Dill (who had taught our mother and both of my sisters before me), asked me one day,”Why aren’t you smart like your sister, Joyce?” Joyce was smart! A few years ago Joyce asked me, “What makes you so smart?” She wasn’t being nasty, she really thought I was smart. Go figure.
