It is with regret we announce the passing of Dion Kemp Thorpe, age 74, of Fayetteville, TN. Dion was born on August 7, 1944 in Obion County, TN to Mildred Crocker Kemp and the late Mansel Hurley Kemp. She was a member of the Liberty Church of Christ and enjoyed gardening. Mrs. Thorpe passed away on May 8, 2019 in Martin, TN, surrounded by her loving family.

In addition to her mother, survivors include daughters, Patrice (Toni) Sanford of Martin, TN, and Andrea Draper of Fairview, TN; grandchildren, Leigha Ray, Byron Sanford, Kenneth Draper, and Wyatt Draper; great-grandchildren, Adreana Ray, Luke Ray, Chelsea Sanford, and Lauren Ray; and a brother, Tony Kemp. In addition to her father, Mrs. Thorpe was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Austin Thorpe.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Higgins Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens. Bro. Tim Rice will officiate. There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.

    we will miss Ms. Dion but she was lost without her beloved Bob. God Bless the family. We enjoyed hearing them sing. Now they can sing together again.
