Funeral service for Derrick Ray Schmidt, age 52, of Fayetteville, TN, will be held at 2 PM on Monday, April 15, 2024, at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Colwell officiating. Burial will follow in Higgins Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be from 12 PM until 2 PM on Monday at Higgins Funeral Home.
Derrick was born on April 29, 1971, in Vietnam to Thi Sul Schmidt and the late Jerry Wayne Schmidt. He was of the Baptist Faith. Derrick passed away on April 12, 2024, in Cullman, AL.
Survivors include his mother, Thi Sul Schmidt; children, Nicole Repasky, Kaleb Hawkins, and Hollie Taylor; fiancé, Brandi Cothren and her children, Katelyn, Brooklynn and Hayven; and sister, Melissia Meeks, her husband Tim, and their children, Hunter, Hayden, and Hallie Meeks.
