Obituary

It is with regret we announce the passing of Dedric Andre Scruggs age 52 of Fayetteville, TN. A memorial service will be held at Molino Baptist Church on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at 11 am with Bro. Joe Self officiating.

Dedric was born October 7, 1969, in Franklin, TN. He worked in his earlier years as a manager at Pizza Hut and in later years spent his time with odds and ends jobs and activities. Dedric had a beautiful smile a great sense of humor, and he loved making other people laugh. He also loved to dance and had his own breakdancing crew back in the 1980’s. Dedric woke up every day wanting to share positivity with the world. He cared so much for others and making sure they were happy and taken care of, and most of all he loved the Lord. Dedric was a beloved father figure for his brothers, Jonathan Wilkerson and Andrell Wilkerson. He did so much for them after their mother, Virginia Dalton Scruggs, passed away in 1997. Dedric passed away on November 24, 2021, at his home.

Higgins Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Dedric Andre Scruggs.

D will be missed dearly. He was loved by everyone at our small church. I will never forget how grateful he was for the small gestures everyone showed him.

He is definitely with the Lord and dancing.
