Obituary

Funeral service for Debbie Smith Faulkner, age 73, of Fayetteville, TN, will be held at 1 PM on Friday, December 1, 2023, at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Booneville Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 11 AM until 1 PM Friday at Higgins Funeral Home.

Vicky Debra Smith Faulkner was born on December 11, 1949, in Lincoln County, TN to the late Alfred “Pete” Smith and Rebecca Moore Smith. She was a 1967 graduate of Central High School. Debbie worked 30 + years for Tepro as their HR director. Mrs. Faulkner passed away on November 27, 2023, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

Survivors include her son, Jimmy Thad Eatherly; grandchildren, Leigha Faulkner Haynes, Will Faulkner, Lauren Marie Oetken, and Kolton Faulkner; great-granddaughter, Norah Jean Haynes; brothers, Randy Smith, Tracey (LeeAnn) Smith, and Terry Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Debbie was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Dixon Faulkner; stepson, Jeffrey Lynn Faulkner; and brother, Alfred “Pete” Smith, Jr.

Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Debbie Smith Faulkner.

    Debbie and I grew up together, sharing so many childhood memories. Even though Debbie was just a year older, I looked up to her and wanted to be just like her!!! She was a strong but sweet lady. My heart goes out to her family, knowing how much she will be missed.
