Funeral services for Mr. Daniel Bates, age 32, of Shelbyville will be conducted at 10 AM Saturday at Heritage Baptist Church in Fayetteville with Bro. Joe Vinson and Bro. John Watkins officiating.  Burial will follow in Melson Cemetery.  Mr. Bates passed away Wednesday morning at Bedford County Hospital.

A son of Bobby and Ann Marlene Bates, who survive, he was a native of Bedford County, self-employed as a contractor, and the pastor of Living Water Church in Shelbyville.

Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife Lori Ann Robinson Bates, children Amanda Lea DeRoush of Shelbyville, Wyatt Colt DeRoush of Mt. Juliet, and Julianna Grace and Benjamin Micah Bates, both of Shelbyville, brothers David Bates and wife Jessica and Matthew Bates and wife Candice, all of Fayetteville, and sister Missy Mullins and husband Michael of Fayetteville, 3 nephews, 1 niece, and grandmothers Carol and Pauline Bates, both of Petersburg.

Visitation with the family will be from 5-8 PM Friday evening at Heritage Baptist Church.
