Obituary

     Funeral services for Mr. Ross Daniel “Dan” Motlow, age 59 of Fayetteville will be conducted at 2PM Thursday at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Howell and Rev. Tommy Ward officiating.  Burial will follow in Mulberry Cemetery.  Mr. Motlow died Monday night at his residence.

     He was a native of Lincoln County, son of the late William E. Motlow and Alese Askins Motlow of Fayetteville who survives.  Mr. Motlow was a veteran of U. S. Marine Corp and served during the Viet Nam War.  He was a retired pipefitter with Redstone Arsenal and a member of the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church.

     Survivors in addition to his mother are his wife, Peggy Thornton Motlow of Fayetteville, two step-sons, Zachary York and wife Pam of Hazel Green, AL and James York and wife Andrea of the Mimosa Community, four grandchildren Kaitlyn, Gerry, William and James York, two brothers Bob Motlow of Taft, Ed Motlow and wife Erika of Woodbury, TN, sister Julia “Sissy” Parks and husband Glen of Fayetteville, 4 nieces, 2 nephews and one great nephew.  

     Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening 5-8PM at Higgins Funeral Home.   In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The First United Methodist Church Building Fund or the Disabled Veterans.
