Funeral services for Mr. Clyde Higgins Simmons, age 88, of Fayetteville will be conducted at 10AM Friday at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Dean Pardon and Rev. Ennis Hyman officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens beside his wife Ruby Fanning Simmons. Mr. Simmons passed away Tuesday evening October 28^th at Lincoln Medical Center.

He was a native of Madison County, AL and the son of the late Ralph and Ethel Tucker Simmons. Mr. Simmons worked in the road construction business, was a member of the Blanche First Church of God and was a member of the senior citizen’s center.

Survivors include his son Phillip Simmons and wife Faye of Mt. Juliet, TN, grandson Greg Simmons and wife Tina and granddaughter Angela Simmons, two nephews Paul O’Neal and wife Carolyn and Rex Towry and wife Lisa all of Fayetteville, two nieces Linda Brown and husband Jerry and Helen Towry all of Fayetteville, brother and sister-in-law Thomas and Sue Towry.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday evening 4:30pm – 8PM at Higgins Funeral Home.
