Funeral service for Mr. Clifford Earl Thompson, Jr., age 87, of Fayetteville, will be conducted Sunday September 6, 2015 at 3 p.m. at Parks City Baptist Church, with Bro. Don Russell and Bro. Roy Butler officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mr. Thompson passed away Friday morning at his residence.
A native of Birmingham, AL., he was the son of the late Clifford Earl and Fannie Jean Putnam Thompson Sr., was retired from Serbin with over 40 years of service, was a Deacon and treasurer of the
Parks City Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife and loving caregiver Irene Moyers Thompson of Fayetteville, brothers Jackie Thompson of Huntsville, AL., sister Joyce Estes of Nashville, TN, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Ronald Thompson.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday September 5, 2015 from 5 – 8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home. The body will lie in state from 2 until 3 p.m. on Sunday at Parks City Baptist Church.
So sorry to hear of Mr. Cliff’s passing. My dad, Thomas Stevenson, thought a lot of him. Thinking of your family!
