Funeral services for Mr. Clay Cross, age 75, of Fayetteville will be conducted at 2 PM Tuesday at Higgins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Gatlin Cemetery. Mr. Cross passed away Friday evening at Lincoln Medical Center.

A son of the late Morris and Pearl Lewter Cross, he was a native of Lincoln County. He lived most of his adult life in Aberdeen, MS where he was a retired medical technologist with Aberdeen Monroe County Hospital. Mr. Cross was an Air Force veteran and a member of the Church of God.

Survivors include his wife Ginger Nell Cross, daughters Lawanna Hale and husband John, Cindy Miles and husband Mike, and Kim Cross, son Eric Cross, grandchildren Heather McCormick and husband Jason, Andrea Chiaudano and husband Deston, Rachel Hale, Destiny, Mary, Maddux, and Tyler Cross, great-grandchildren Cailyn and Reed McCormick, and siblings Joyce Smith of Ardmore, TN, Faye Mann of Fayetteville, Billy Cross of Hamilton, MS, Joe Cross of Pekin, IL, Charlie Cross of Maryville, IN, Geneva Edwards of Roan Mt., TN, Ruth Caudill of Louisville, KY, and Martha Nell Black of Lima, OH. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Peggy Yarbrough, Frank Wendell Cross, Thomas Cross, and Shields Cross.

Visitation with the family will be from 5-8 PM Monday evening at Higgins Funeral Home.
