Obituary

Funeral service for Mr. Chris “Monkey” Mitchell, age 43, of Fayetteville, TN will be conducted Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 1 PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Whitney Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Flintville Cemetery.

A native of Lincoln County, he is the son of Dwight Mitchell and the late Francine Hobbs Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell worked for Goodman and Solaverde and was a member of the Church of God. Mr. Mitchell passed away May 22, 2018 at Vanderbilt Medical Center.

Survivors in addition to his father include his wife, Tracey Mitchell; sister, Cathy Mitchell of Fayetteville; children, Crystal Crabtree of Shelbyville, Beth (Quin Ford) Crabtree of Shelbyville, Meagan Knois of Pulaski, and Lelia Knois of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Andrew Bates, Micah Bryson, Navaeh Ford, Michael (MJ) Knois, Zailen Thompson, William Knois, and Isiah Whitaker; and special nephew, Austin Honey and niece, Cali Honey. Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by his Mother in 2015.

Visitation with the family will be Friday May 26, 2018 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home. Higgins Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Chris Mitchell.
