Funeral services for Charles W. McMeen, age 80, of Fayetteville, will be conducted Wednesday morning at 10 AM at the Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Bryce officiating. Burial will follow in Lincoln Cemetery. Mr. McMeen passed away Sunday following a long illness.

            Mr. McMeen was a native of Columbia, TN, and was a son of the late Charles F. and Elsie Hayes McMeen. He served four years in the U.S. Navy, worked in Northern Telecom as a computer analyst, and was a member of Community Baptist Church.

            Survivors include his wife: Anna May McMeen of Fayetteville, one daughter: Barbara McMeen, three sons Charles McMeen, Jr., and wife Becky, William McMeen and James McMeen, one brother: Eldridge McMeen and wife Betty, six grandchildren: Gwen McMeen, Richard Wright, Sonja Wright, Kelly McMeen, Bryan McMeen, and James C. McMeen and four great grandchildren: Livey Wright, Talan McMeen, Travis McMeen and James Wesley McMeen all Fayetteville.

            Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening from 5-8 PM at the Higgins Funeral Home.
