Obituary

Funeral service for Mr. Charles Ray “Charlie” Thorpe, age 82 of Dellrose, TN will be conducted Tuesday June 29, 2021 at 11AM at Higgins Funeral Home, with Bro. Tommy Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Wrights Cemetery beside his wife Moyoko Thorpe.

Charles was born in Lincoln County August 16, 1938 to the late Felix and Lela Cunningham Thorpe. He was a retired US Army Criminal Investigator, and a Vietnam Veteran serving his country for 25 years. After his retirement Charlie enjoyed the auction business with his nephew Jonathan. Mr. Thorpe passed away June 26, 2021 at Lincoln Medical Center.

Survivors include his sisters Linda Spray of Fayetteville; Sherry Clifton (Mike) Presti of Frankewing; and Brenda (Roger) Mitchell of Dellrose; brothers Harry (Fannie) Thorpe of Dellrose; and Mike Thorpe of McBurg and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Thorpe was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Moyoko Thorpe and five brothers, David Thorpe and James Robert Thorpe, Donald (Pee Wee) Thorpe, Bill Thorpe and Tommy Thrope.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday June 29, 2021 from 9:30 AM until time of service at Higgins Funeral Home.

Higgins Funeral Home is honored to serve the Family of Charles Ray “Charlie” Thorpe.
