Graveside service for Mr. Charles Edwin Benjamin, Jr., age 76, of Fayetteville, TN will be conducted Sunday, August 27, 2017 at 3:30 PM at Higgins Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens with Pastor Lon Ostryzycki officiating. Burial will be next to his beloved wife of 53 years, Suzanne Dews Benjamin.
Mr. Benjamin passed away on August 25, 2017 in Fayetteville Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Hazel Green, AL. He earned a Bachelor’s in Business from the University of Alabama. After retiring from his managerial position at the Lee Company, he drove a bus for the Lincoln County School System.
Survivors include his daughters, Carol Tucker (Joe) and Mary Elizabeth Benjamin both of Fayetteville, TN; son, Charles Thomas Benjamin (Kathy) of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren; Anna Benjamin and Ethan and Adam Tucker; and sister, Delores Williams. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents Charles Edwin Benjamin, Sr. and Marguerite Kreitlein Benjamin.
Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at 1 until 3 PM at Higgins Funeral Home. Higgins is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Benjamin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lincoln County High School Band Booster at 1233 Huntsville Highway, Fayetteville, TN 37334.
Such a good kind man! He was my plant Manger for 13 years @ The Lee co.! He was kind & fair man! He will be greatly missed! Prayers for the family!!! RIP MR. BENJAMIN!!
We are so sorry for your loss. I worked with Mr. B at Lee Co for 12 years, I thought the world of him. I remember when he dressed up like a woman he was so funny. He was a sweet man.

We are so sorry to hear about the passing of Charles. I remember him from my days at the bank and Robert remembers him as a member of the LCDOE bus drivers. Prayers for your comfort during this sad time.
I am sure going to miss Mr. Benjamin. I will cherish the sweet memories we had at school and also at the falcon ballgames. He will be missed by our family and you are all in our prayers as you face the following days ahead.
I a so very sorry to hear of the loss of Mr. Benjamin. He was such an asset to our LCDOE family. I know he loved his time with the students on that bus. I knew he had a wonderful career before the bus driver position, but I think if him in that role–and am so saddened to hear of his passing.
