Funeral service for Mr. Charles Cannon Ingle, age 86, of Fayetteville, TN, will be conducted Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Black officiating. Burial will follow in Booneville Cemetery.

Charles Cannon Ingle was born April 22, 1931 in Lincoln County, TN to the late John O and Lillian Gattis Ingle. He was a member of the Washington Street Church of Christ. He farmed with his father in the early part of his life, served in the United States Army, and drove a transport truck for Parsons Oil Company for 25 years. He retired in 1993 and continued to farm on the old home place. Mr. Inlge passed away on December 21, 2017 at Crestwood Medical Center.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Ingle; sons, Mike Ingle (Michelle) of Anniston, AL, and Mark Ingle (Pam) of Huntsville, AL; three grandchildren, Shannon Hill (Ryan) of Heflin, AL, Brent Ingle (Brooke) of Santa Clara, CA, and Courtney Riethmaier of Huntsville, AL; three great-grandchildren, Charles Deacon Hill, Rylan Hill, and Brantlee Riethmaier; and one sister, Faye Scarbrough of Shelbyville, TN. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ingle was preceded in death by two sisters, Christabel Logan and Frieda Wagster, and nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 11:00 AM until time of service at 2:00 PM at Higgins Funeral Home. Higgins is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Ingle.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Booneville Community Center at 312 Gimlet Road, Fayetteville, TN 37334.

    Great fellow rest in peace, we all called him Happy Pappy. I didn’t know him as well as some but always heard great things about him. He was always very helpful as well. I knew him from Parsons Oil. He will be missed
