It is with regret that we announce the passing on March 30, 2018 of Caroline Bickel Marks, age 87. Caroline was born on May 21, 1930 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Edwin H. Bickel, Sr. and Eleanor McGinty Bickel. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lewisburg, Tennessee.
Caroline loved traveling, gardening, bridge, bingo, reading and visiting with her family. She was a former member of the Embroidery Guild, Stone Bridge Garden Club, and Junior Round Dozen in Fayetteville, Tennessee. She served as Treasurer of the women’s circle at First Presbyterian Church in Gulf Shores, Alabama. She was also a member of the Investment Club and Friend of the Library in Gulf Shores, Alabama. She was a lifetime member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She was a member of the Fort Bowyer Chapter 3-025-AL DAR.
Caroline was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Brown Marks, Jr. Survivors include her beloved children, Carol (Bill) Marsh, Lewisburg, Tennessee; Matalea Marks, Foley, Alabama; Ed (Leigh) Marks, Gulf Shores, Alabama; and Scott Marks, Montanita, Ecuador. In addition, she is survived by her two grandchildren, Brian (Mary Courtney) Marsh, and Caroline (Luke) Buckley; and five great grandchildren, Eleanor, Julia and Marian Buckley, and Benjamin and Anna Battle Marsh. She is also survived by her beloved brother, Edwin (Eva) Bickel of Ft. Myers, Florida, and brother-in-law, Dan (Margaret) Scott of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
A graveside service for family will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery. Burial will be beside her beloved husband. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to First United Methodist Church Communion Fund, 325 W. Church Street, Lewisburg, TN 37091.

We had a wreck last Sept. and I am still in a wheelchair, so will not be able to see you,but please know that you are ALL in my thoughts and prayers. She was a great gal, but you already know that.
