Obituary

Funeral service for Candice LaShea Newton, age 21, of Elora, will be conducted Sunday, February 21, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Jeremy Hudgins officiating. Burial will follow in Higgins Cedar Hills Memorial Gardens. Ms. Newton passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at the Lincoln Medical Center.

Ms. Newton was a native of Lincoln County, the daughter of Michael Newton and Bonnie Bowden Grimes, who survive. She was a manager for Dollar General and a member of the Park City Church of Christ. She loved her son and listening to music and had a kind and giving heart.

Survivors include son Eli Wayne Newton, sister Cassandra Clark Walden and husband Cory, brother Dustin Clark and fiancee Kenzie Dupree, father Michael Newton, mother Bonnie Grimes and fiance Bruce Moorehead, step-brother Dustin Moorehead, step-sister Renae Austual. Paternal grandmother Kay Arnold, nieces Audrey, Ally and Addi, nephews Crimson and Jackson and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by paternal grandfather Charles Arnold and maternal grandparents John and Marge Bowden.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 4 until 8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
