Obituary

Funeral service for Butch Wicks, age 69 of Flintville, will be conducted Thursday March 26, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Langford officiating. Burial will follow in the Flintville Cemetery. Mr. Wicks passed away Monday March 23, 2015 in St. Thomas West hospital in Nashville.
He was a native of Lincoln County and the son of the late John Wilson “Buster” Wicks and Sadie Lucille Durham Wicks. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, was a dedicated truck driver with over three million miles driven and of the Presbyterian Faith.
Survivors include his wife Cheryl Wicks of Flintville, daughter Kandi Wicks Wright and husband Chad and son Ben Wright all of Huntsville, son Waylon Wicks and wife Kristin and son Tate Wicks all of Flintville, brother Delbert Wicks and wife Faye of Flintville, sister Fredna Moorehead and husband Roy of Flintville and life long friend and side kick Pete Jean. We lovingly acknowledge his extended family in Logistics at Frito-Lay. Butch was proud to call Flintville his home.
Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening March 25, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
