Obituary

A graveside service for Bonnie Louise Phillips Bryant, age 94, of Petersburg, TN will be held at 2:30 pm on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Unity Cemetery with Rev. Todd Gaskill and Bro. James Shelton officiating. The family will visit with friends from 12 pm until 2 pm on Thursday at Higgins Funeral Home.

Louise was born January 9, 1930, in Lincoln County, TN to the late Bonnie Phillips and Clara Elizabeth Rhoden Phillips. She worked as a machine operator and in shipping for 36 years at Serbin, and later worked for Lee Manufacturing and Cosmo Lab. She was a member of the Howell Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Louise passed away September 16, 2024, at Elk River Health and Nursing Center of Fayetteville.

Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Thompson of Petersburg, and her brother, Harold Phillips of Fayetteville; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bryant; sister, Geraldine Askins; brother, Jack Phillips; and son-in-law, Charles Thompson.
