Graveside services for Blanche Vanzant Duke age 94 of Gallatin, formerly of Fayetteville, will be conducted Wednesday at 11a.m. at Riverview Memorial Gardens with Bro. Bill Hunter officiating. Mrs. Duke passed away Monday in Gallatin Health Care.

A native of Belvidere, TN, she was the daughter of the late Onas B. and Rachel Viola Smith Vanzant, was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include her daughter Teddie (Bill) Hunter of Gallatin, granddaughter Rachel (Jason) Lambert of Franklin, TN, great granddaughter Sierra and Samantha Lambert, grandson, Chad (Ericka) Gundlach of Joelton, TN, great-grandson Dylan Gundlach, sister Mary McKenna of Phoenix, AZ, sister-in-law Doris Vanzant of Phoenix, AZ and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home prior to services. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Tennessee Children’s Home.

Higgins Funeral Home is assisting the family of Blanche Vanzant Duke.

    Sending deepest sympathy Teddie Lynn. You may not know me but your mom knew my mom (Cat Douthit). When I was a little girl we lived in an apartment on N. Bellevue next to the Scotts. You are blessed to have had your mom so long. Mine passed in ’05.
