Funeral service for Mrs. Billye Jane Brannon Morrison, age, 80, of Fayetteville, TN will be conducted on Friday, November 24, 2023, at 1pm at Higgins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery next to her husband, Donald B. Morrison. Visitation with the family will be on Friday November 24, 2023, from 11am until 1pm at Higgins.

Billye was born February 3, 1943, in Marshall County, TN to the late William Woodrow and Georgia Lee Perryman Brannon. She had a feisty and independent spirit, and you never had to wonder what she was thinking. Billye worked in retail clothing at Geraldine’s, Jack and Jill’s, and finally Fashion World. When her children were young Billye stayed home to care for them and then began providing childcare for others in her home for a number of years. She dearly loved the children she kept. Billye also enjoyed keeping the nursery at Fayetteville First Baptist Church where she was a member for many, many years. Billye loved her family, and she found ways to bond with them whether it was NASCAR or watching Braves baseball. Mrs. Morrison passed away November 15, 2023, at Donalson Care Center.

Survivors include her daughter, Jane Elizabeth (Jeff) Dye; son Jeffery Donald Morrison; grandchildren, Daniel Wayne Dye and Bethany Grace Morrison; great-grandchildren, Katelynn Dye, Samantha McLaughlin, and Nicholas Smith; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to her parents, Billye was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Brown Morrison; sister, Peggy Nell Brannon; brother, Larry Michael Brannon.

Higgins Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Billye Jane Brannon Morrison.

Mrs. Morrison was an extremely good caregiver for my preschool son. Jane was a very conscientious assistant to her, too. Love and peace to the family.
